Melaka, just one and a half hours south of Kuala Lumpur, always is my favourite choice for short getaway. Recently, i had the pleasure of spending 3 days 2 nights at the luxury 5-star international business class Hotel Equatorial Melaka.

My room is Premier room with spacious space (29 sq. metres – 33 sq. metres), comes with a king size bed and sofa bed.
3 bed types available : 1 king size bed or 2 single beds (twins) or 2 adjoining single beds (Hollywood twin)
Wi-Fi Services is available.
Standard room amenities available, include bedside control panels, a big writing desk, coffee and tea-making facilities, a flat screen TV, hair dryer, safe box and iron with ironing board.
#2 Treating myself with a hot bath in bathtub while listening my favourite BigBang songs Bang Bang Bang!
#3 Enjoy all the latest in-house movie.
Usually, we have to pay for movie channel when stay at hotel; also there are always outdated movie in the list. But in Hotel Equatorial Melaka, you will be thrilled when there is the latest in-house movies for FREE!!! Trust me! You can keep your iPad at home. =)
#4 Be a lazy people at lazy bed
Take a cup of coffee/tea and enjoy the warm sun ray or peaceful night with nice Melaka view.
#5 Do exercise as much as you can!
Spending time and effort on the little things which you might can't do it always~ Exercise!
A well-equipped gym, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, tennis court and outdoor swimming pool with children pool. There is a sundeck area for sun-worshippers too!
#6 Delicious 24-7 Room Service
Its an intelligent room service ordering program that converses with their customers by TV. You just need to go thru few simple steps :
On the TV, Choose "room service" -> Pick your favourite from a variety of local and international cuisine -> select "quantity" -> Click "add to order"
You can feed yourself from day to another day morning because room service is available for 24 hours, LOL!
#7 Sumptuous buffet spreads
For dining with a difference, Resthouse Café is a favourite choice for both guests and visitors, no matter during breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I had my breakfast there, spoiled me with a wide choice of favourite local and western fare. If you are foreigner, do not forget to try their mee goreng, roti canai and nasi lemak these kind of Malaysian famous foods.
The hotel have taken then brunch dining experience to a whole new level, known as Live Jazzy Sunday. So there is an option for those who looking for an indulgent Sunday treat, discovering the extensive cuisine selection in their brunch and complemented with an amazing Jazz performance.

#8 Chill out at windy bistro
K5, The Street Bistro or “Kaki Lima” in Bahasa Malaysia is an easy-going yet sophisticated open-air bistro. It is definitely the place to hang out while enjoy the wind blow and the beautiful view of the historical sites nearby.
Order from the old newspaper themed a la carte menu, variety of local dishes and enjoy true Italian pastas and pizzas.
But i still love to have our local street food. =)
#9 Delight in an indulgent afternoon tea for ONLY RM32 / set!
etc...Coffee Corner entices with its pastries, cakes, pralines, bread and other delights. They do offer afternoon tea which is available from Monday to Sunday, 2pm - 6pm.
There are 2 option for afternoon tea set : choose either Western or Asian flavour.
Western set : 2 cups of English tea, sandwiches, scones, macaroons, brownies, mini fruit tarts and muffins.
Asian set : 2 cups of English tea, satay, fried spring rolls, samosa, lekoh-lekoh, fried banana and fruit rojak.

Personally like that Asian set, tangy and flavourful! However, nothing to shout about for the western set.
#10 A taste of authentic Nyonya cuisine
Be a tourist in Melaka, it is a must to try their authentic Nyonya cuisine! The Seri Nyonya Peranakan Restaurant is famous and offering the very best in town. I try to keep my hotel review short and simple, so i decided to write another review of this Nyonya cuisine, check here.
