Naj & Belle @ Courtyard SS15

July 13, 2016

Located at the neighborhood of SS15 Subang Jaya, ss15 Courtyard is the latest destination for shopping, eating and relaxation. Looking for some great and new places for brunch or dessert?

Naj & Belle might be your choice.
I think this cafe is still new to you all, check on their dessert and you'll recall something if you are visited Serai before. The owner came from the family who responsible dessert supplies for the Serai chain, Jibby & Co, and Jibby & chow. Unexpected their desserts earned rave reviews from these restaurants and of course you can't miss this as well at their own cafe Naj & Belle.

Quite a number of selection for cakes.
Hmm... I always believe that a person goes to a specific restaurant either because the food is very good or their interior design, because.... i am one of them hahaha! The interior is clean and simple with a few contemporary elements, it is quite similar to other modern cafes, nothing to shout about.
But i like their outdoor patio with a touch of rustic style, such a relaxing area.
Plenty of foods to served here like all day breakfast, pasta, sandwiches, main course, salads and desserts. For coffee lovers, you must try their very own special blend of coffee from the Cauca region of Columbia and from the rainforests and volcanic fertile soils of the Gayo Highland in Central Aceh, giving you a soft hazelnut and plum aroma, with a medium balanced apricot acidity and notes of soft milk chocolate, caramel and vanilla.

Hmm... this is my first food review which kick start with dessert first, LOL!
2 MUST-TRY Cakes
Top 1 : Watermelon Cake (my favourite!!!!)
It is the most popular cake in Naj & Belle, rumoured to be their cafe most wanted dessert. =)
In Malaysia, everyone love to eat watermelon because weather really too hot in 365 days. Something new and unique, a watermelon cake is a great way to enjoy dessert especially during hot day, covered with the whipped cream wasn't too sweet and with a hint of lychee in it. Enjoy the cake while watermelon gushing in your mouth. So nice and refreshing! This fun fruit cake is perfect for your hot day get-together, a slice of cake I’ve ever attempted.
Top 2 : Rose Lychee Almond crumble
Rose and lychee are two flavors that i love to had in dessert. Soft sponge cake with a slight crunch from almond crumble, the lychee was somewhere in between, adding a wonderful mildly sweet taste with a rosy flavor.
 Sorry, i can't remember the name ~~~ ;P
Chocolate Fudge
One Sweet Mess   RM24.50
Banana hot cake with fresh strawberries, blueberries, pistachio, burnt butterscotch and vanilla bean ice cream. Moist banana cake glazed with the wonderful caramel sauce which has mildly sweet. Had the cake slices warm, immediately cooling down while eat together with vanilla ice cream.Utterly delicious.

Roasted pumpkin, baby spinach, Portobello mushroom, walnuts, crispy onion, feta cheese with balsamic honey dressing.

Tiger Prawn Spaghetti    RM26.50

Moroccan Eggs    RM26.50 (Must-Try!)
Baked eggs with Dukkah chicken sausages, chickpeas, crumbled feta cheese and Napoli sauce served with brioche bread. A Moroccan baked egg dish that packs a ton of rich flavor without being too filling. It is really nice and so flavourful that i can't stop eating this.

Squid Ink Spaghetti   RM26.50   (Must-Try!)
Naj & Belle Chef was cook the pasta till al dente and sautéed with herbs, fresh calamari, Tobiko caviar and sun-dried tomatoes. This aromatic squid ink spaghetti is just incredibly delicious with a hint of spicy.
Overall, the food and coffee is good, of course their cake is still the best among its menu. Reasonable prices and served you the hearty delicious meal in cozy place. I guess i found a new brunch spot for my weekends outing. =)
