Four Points by Sheraton Puchong, CNY food review of Fire Monkey 2016!

January 12, 2016

Say goodbye to Christmas and year 2015, immediately following by my another favourite festival ~ Chinese New Year! Welcoming the Year of Monkey, i had my first CNY (Chinese New Year) food review at Four Points by Sheraton Puchong last week.
The Lunar New Year festivities at Four Points by Sheraton Puchong starts on 7 February 2016 as The Eatery welcomes family and friends alike to gather for a reunion buffet dinner with tasty dishes such as the sun dried oyster dumplings, wok fried tiger prawn, build your own Yee Sang counter and many more. More choices awaits you on 8 February 2016 as the First Lunar New Year Day (初一) brings another round of delicious dinner buffet dishes for the entire family to enjoy.
Dinner buffet price : RM 128 nett per adult
RM 64 nett per child (between aged 4-12 years old)

In Malaysia, Yee sang 捞生 is a must-order dishes in CNY celebrations. Yee sang literally means "raw fish" with meaning an increase in abundance, a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor. Yee Sang is my favourite, The Eatery's salmon yee sang(行运齐捞生) doesn't disappointed me, it's come with crispy shredded treasures and blackcurrant plum dressing. This stunning presentation with 2 fishes to wishes for a prosperous year, it is pretty impressive but this is only for our food review. Indulge your family, friends or colleagues with their Yee Sang further with a choice of 5 delicious varieties to take away. Take away Yee Sang starts from RM65 nett.
Double boiled chicken broth with abalone, dried scallops and bamboo pith. 鲍鱼竹笙菜胆炖汤
[Highly recommended] I have to say this soup is so flavourful, i just can't stop drinking and finish it in few minutes!
Slow cooked corn fed chicken with Chinese herbs and cordyceps  虫草花药膳炖清远鸡
[Highly recommended] The chicken is so moist and fork-tender, slow cooking brings out the flavour of exclusive herbs and cordyceps. This is so nice!!!
Steamed sea nutrition pearl tiger grouper 金蒜姜丝蒸珍珠虎斑
Served with golden garlic, julienned ginger and light soy sauce.
Stir fried baby nai pak  蚝士扎北菇奶白苗
Served with sun dried oyster dumplings, black mushrooms and superior reduction.
Wok fried tiger prawns with chilli garlic crumb  水上人家蒜味虾
[Highly recommended] It was so fragrant, and finger licking good.
Jasmine rice cooked with chicken fat, smoked duck and mushrooms   鸡油烟鸭捞米饭
[Highly recommended] Kinda like pork free waxed meat rice/lap mei fan, as simple as it is tasty and fragrant,
CNY desserts time!
They served us the sweetened chilled pear, dried longan and red dates soup(冰镇桂圆炖津梨), crispy deep fried brown sugar cakes (nian gao) layered with sliced yam and sweet potato lotus puffs.(香芋地瓜炸年糕拼荷花酥)
