Le Pont Boulangerie @ Sri Petaling

March 15, 2017

This is my third time to blogged about Le Pont Boulangerie.
First blog write-up is regarding Le Pont Boulangerie Sri Petaling branch opening, second blog post is about Le Pont Boulangerie Old Klang Road Valentines Day review, so this time i am going to blog about food at Le Pont Boulangerie Sri Petaling.
Le Pont Boulangerie Sri Petaling is a double-storey cafe at the corner of shop lots, located just in front of Pat Kin Pat Sun Cafe (不见不散茶餐厅) or few minutes walk from The Store Sri Petaling. You can check more about their interior and ambience at my previous blog post.
Dining hall is on the second floor while the first floor is focus on bakery and coffee, a trendy and comfy ambience which is perfect for gathering with friends and family.
I just found another insta-worthy spot! So beautiful right??? ^^
Non-stop taking picture when you found every corner is so photogenic LOL!
This round I am invited to try out their menu and also featuring some sensational new French dishes prepared in sous vide cooking method.
Sous vide cooking originated in France, it is a cooking technique that utilizes precise temperature control to deliver consistent results. Food cooks in its juices to ensures that the food is moist, juicy and tender.

Let's start with appetiser!
Aromatic BBQ Wings (6 pcs)   RM22.90
Juicy chicken wings served with fruity-based homemade BBQ sauce. The taste is good and flavourful but what I dislike about the sauce is that it was too thick.
Smoked Mussel Pot   RM30.90
200g home-smoked whole shell black mussel cooked with mixed vegetables, herbs and cream. No doubt a big bowl of mussels is comfort food, smoking them lends a rustic flavor while garlic butter adds a divine creaminess. Best served with crusty garlic bread for dipping.

Le Pont Lamb Shank   RM45.90
This is my Le Pont's favourite, the juicy braised lamb shank which cooked in sous vide style for 48 hours. Served with apricot sauce and a side of mashed potatoes, roasted peppers and asparagus. Slow braised the lamb shank rom tough to meltingly tender, fall-off-the-bone soft, so delicious!
Chicken Cordon Bleu  RM32.90
The succulent chicken stuffed with cheese and turkey ham, served with a side of roasted potatoes, caramelised carrot and tonkatsu sauce. Breaded and sautéed the chicken breast until juicy, crisp and savory. Please take note that this dish need take about 15 mins cooking time.
Fish Papillote   RM25.90
White tuna cooked in sous vide style in parchment paper, and then baked with onions, carrots, leeks, button mushrooms, dill and lemon. I am always looking for nice fish papillote, because personally think it might not difficult to cook but hard to get the delicious one. FYI, cooking a papillote (in parchment) for seals in the moisture of fish fillets, however i found that Le Pont's fish papillote is rich in flavour but a bit overcooked so cannot achieve the perfectly smooth-tender texture.

Le Pont is well-known with their artisan desserts, using the finest ingredients to designed every creation, definitely not to be missed!
Fraisee au Coulant  RM18.90 (front)
Chocolat au Coulant  RM19.90 (back)
Both of them is molten lava cake, Fraisee au Coulant is using crunchy biscuit base filled with rich white chocolate and strawberry then topped with a scoop of homemade strawberry sorbet. Chocolat au Coulant is made with velvety chocolate filling and biscuit base then serve with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice-cream. I prefer that Chocolat au Coulant as i love to dig into a rich bitten dark chocolate and cue the ooey- gooey center. Fraisee au Coulant is a sweeter version and when it is not in beautiful red color when served on table.
Chocolate Fudge Gala    RM15.90
Food presentation is just as essential to the success of a dish as its taste and flavour, this Chocolate Fudge Gala is a dessert to win all girl's heart, all my friends can't stop taking picture of it hahaha! It is also a healthy dessert especially for someone who looking for flourless and gluten-free. This crunchy fudge mixed with walnuts, chopped hazelnuts, poached strawberries and topped with homemade vanilla ice cream cone in one.

Le Pont Waffles  RM14.90
It is their signature trademark. Served with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and mixed berries marmalade.
Lychee & Earl Grey Ice  RM13.90 (regular) |  RM16.90 (Large)
I love this refreshing dessert as i don't have much of sweet tooth, it is a blend of homemade vanilla ice cream, Bavarian lychee, earl grey ice and jelly. Lychee and Earl Grey brings the best taste combination will truly make your heart flutter with every scrumptious mouthful with aroma of tea!
Indulge with the Le Pont dining experience with their chic trendy ambience, good foods and custom-roasted house blend coffee.
