Last month, I had been invited to attend a food review at CoCo Ichibanya Curry House One Utama. If you know me well, i am spicy food lover, i can eat with the spiciness level that can surprising you LoL! But Japanese curry is very different from Indian or local curries. It’s thicker and has a milder flavour. I love to eat Japanese curry rice but have to very spicy one =P
How excited when i got this invitation and challenge their spiciest level!
Level of Spiciness curry :
Mild
Original Flavor
Level 1: Medium Hot

Level 2: Hot
Level 3: Extra Hot
Level 4: Super Hot
Level 5: Crazy Hot

Are you up to the challenge it? *yes i am!!! the crazy hot flavour!!!*

Alright, let's us start with the standard level (original flavour) first.
Beef Yakiniku Curry   RM 23

The heat was nothing to me, recommend to you who are don't eat spicy food. The beef slices is tender and just nice to chew in mouth, cooked with onions to give the meal zing.

Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry   RM 26
This is their level 1 of spiciness, and also is their top recommendation and best seller. Doesn't feel dry on that port cutlet, it is chunky and tender.
Wagyu Beef Steak Curry   RM 48
Oh my gosh, can you see from the picture? Wagyu beef is so juicy and tempting! *shouting* Rated as level 2 of spiciness level, of course will slightly spicier than level 1 but not much different. Definitely this is a tantalising and mouth-watering dish!
Creamed Mushroom Omelette Curry   RM 23
Suitable for vegetarian. Unexpected Mushroom mixed with egg and curry is a great combination, simple ain't boring. Creamed Mushroom placed on top of omelette-wrapped rice and surrounded by creamy gravy, this is spicy food for those who can't take spicy.
Grilled Squid with Mayonnaise Curry   RM 24
A spicy affair : level 4 spiciness. The squid was so tender and tasty, it is not overcook and doesn't like the rubbery stuff. This is quite spicy, get ready of your drink =)
This is the crazy hot curry sauce, you should give it a try if you are seeking out the spiciest curry in the town. By the way, i don't feel this is the spiciest and it just taste like "hmmm... like that lo...", sorry guys i am weird ok haha! It slightly disappointed me (the spiciness) but taste is nice.
Apart from that, some appetisers and desserts are offered in their menu.

Strawberry Soda and Mango Peach Juice   RM9 for each
Strawberry milkshake    RM 11
Smoked Salmon Salad    RM 10
Bacon and Pumpkin Salad    RM 8
There are two sauces available : sesame (goma) dressing , Japanese soy sauce (shoyu) dressing.
Green tea and Vanilla Ice cream    RM 12

People who like spicy food and enjoy pushing their taste buds to the limit just like me; People who doesn't take spicy; all of you can visit this restaurant because you can customize your own curry dish by spiciness adjustment from mild to Level 5 crazy hot. No worries, CoCo Ichibanya can satisfy your curry cravings and fulfilling your needs.=)
