People always curious on my real age as they always thought i am only 25-26 years old, but in fact i am the lucky one with a youthful appearance (baby face) and looks much younger than I am. I've always felt a little out-of-sync with my 'real' age. When i told them about my real age, they are like "huh? what the hell are you eating preservative all the while is it?" LOL! Well~ i won't expose my age here, try guess it. =P Of course, proper skin care is very important too!
However we can't escape the process of aging, but we can reduce it. You may notice the most annoying and bothersome wrinkles slowly appear on your face, skin sagging and pigmentation as you age.

Two weeks ago, i visited Premier Clinic Bangsar for skin consultation.
Large pores and lifting always is my main concerns, so my doctor (Dr. Foo Wing Jian) advised me go for Fractional CO2 Laser (for Pore Reduction) and Platelet Rich Plasma for face lifting. This is my second time to visit aesthetic clinic as i really afraid of painful during treatment. However, Dr. Foo has explained to me what is PRP treatment.

The process of platelet-rich plasma therapy involves blood being drawn from a patient, similar to a blood test. Placed in a specialised machine, the blood is then separated into blood cells, platelets and serum. These elements are then re-injected into the part of the body that requires treatment or rejuvenation. The reintroduced platelets assist the body in its self-reparation as it releases growth factors that help stimulate skin cells to produce new layers of tissue. It also triggers the production of fresh collagen in the skin, and this helps the skin to grow back healthily and appearing more radiant, while the new skin should also be smooth to the touch.
Dr. Foo knows i'm fear of pain, he was being professional and trying to calm me down by explaining that they will apply numb cream on my whole face so i will feel a little sting or pain only. I decided to give it a try, i have to do Fractional CO2 Laser first then only go for PRP treatment.

After applied numb cream on my faca for 30 minutes, Dr. Foo started to do laser treatment. I can smell burning, also feel a little sting on my face. For this treatment, make-up can be used immediately after the procedure and no downtime.
But Dr. Foo increase the laser depth of focus on my open pores and scars, so it does left visible wounds on my skin. I have to go thru scabbing, peeling and healing process within 2 weeks time. Fractional CO2 Laser took only 15 minutes!
After that, we proceed to PRP treatment. As we know, doctor have to inject plasma into face but my case is different. Because i did Fractional CO2 Laser, my skin ablation by laser so i don't need go for injection.
Dr. Foo applied the reintroduced platelets on my face and massage very gently until absorbed. Last step, my face was applied with a cooling gel to help minimize swelling and skin irritation.
My skin is very sensitive, so frankly speaking here, i felt intolerable pain after the numbing effect gradually reduce. My face felt like it was on fire when i go home and wash my face, i had experience some swelling and minor bruising on my face for up to a week following treatment but it will getting lesser and lesser as time passes. In the second week, there's noticeable improvement in my skin texture. My skin feels much firmer and smoother, my complexion also looks more glowing and radiant. It takes time to triggers the production of fresh collagen in the skin, hence further improvements on my skin should follow in the coming months.
