RM50 nett/pax for All You Can Eat Dim Sum @ Tai Zi Heen, Pullman KLCC

March 15, 2016

When i was small, my daddy love to bring me and family go to dim sum on every Sunday morning. When i was growing up, and also quit from the OL job, i can't wake up so early like 8am? then go for dim sum at 9am, i will feel faint or uncomfortable if i wake up early. *serious one, i didn't lie* So at the end, our family dim sum breakfast was call-off since few years ago.
Recently, there was a good news to me : Tai Zi Heen is having All You Can Eat Dim Sum promotion and available time from 11.30am to 2.30pm! Finally i don't need to wake up so early because of dim sum. =P

There are total 45 items on the buffet dim sum menu, from appetiser, Hong Kong barbecue, soup, wok-fried / steamed/ baked dim sum, congee, rice rolls and also dessert! You can get everything you want from the buffet dim sum menu. Well, I can't write out all the dim sum name here, it is too long and i don't think you know what is it LOL! I manage to try some of the popular and luscious dim sum from the buffet menu.
Steamed Bamboo Charcoal Buns with Salted Egg Yolk Custard 竹炭奶香流沙包
Salted egg yolk custard buns always is the superstar among dim sum, you can see this listed in the menu at every dim sum restaurant but not all of them are served the best taste, some custards might formed too lumps which i felt disgusting. I am not a fan of salted egg yolk custard but Tai Zi Heen's steamed bamboo charcoal bun's custard have the perfect taste combination - not too sweet, a hint of saltiness, buttery and creamy aroma. I just can't stop to eat it!
Crystal Dumplings Filled with Dried Sole (Har Gao)  晶莹左口鱼虾饺
There are 3 dim sum i must order every time : Har Gao, fish ball and yam puff. Thus, i have high expectation on their Har Gao. For me, it is failed if the translucent dough is too thick or too sticky. Luckily Tai Zi Heen never disappointed me, this Crystal Dumplings is plump and juicy with chunks of dried sole barely visible through translucent dough, dried sole is not fishy.
Shrimp and Chicken Dumplings with Szechuan Soy Chilli Dressing 红油京川辣饺子
If you prefer more spicy and heaty, try this!
Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings filled with Mushrooms (Siew Mai) 鱼子香菇烧賣皇
Tai Zi Heen is HALAL restaurant, Siew Mai is served with chopped mushrooms, shrimp and chicken, but it taste like the traditional Siew Mai (porky taste), amazing! Personally think their Siew Mai is a little bit salty.
Pearl Grouper Rolls in Lobster Broth 龙虾汤珍珠班卷
This rich broth made from lobster shells is a great, one of the premium items from the buffet menu. The addition of fresh pearl grouper fish makes the lobster broth even better from the oceanic sweetness, it is sinfully rich and delightfully decadent.
Deep-fried Bean Curd Rolls with Cheddar Cheese and Shrimp  芝士明虾付皮卷
Deep-fried Bean Curd rolls offer a crunchy alternative to spring rolls at the dim sum table. Don't miss this out if you are looking something crispy and cheesy!
Crispy Kataifi Wrapped Prawn Rolls  酥炸千丝凤尾虾
Deep-fried Crispy Yam Puffs with Barbecued Chicken and Mushrooms  香菇雞粒荔芋角
My favourite! Made from mashed taro, definitely it is a classic dim sum that delights with a crisp exterior and a savory BBQ filling.
Fragrant Oven-baked Mini Egg Custard Tarts 雪心酥迷你蛋挞
No doubt their tart crust is warm and soft, egg custard melts in the mouth, all my friends were gone case when served this on table. Too bad that is too milky for me as i dislike milk, it just not my cup of tea. Because it takes about 20 minutes for baking, i would suggest you to order this first if you don't want to wait.
Wolfberry Osmanthus Jelly  晶莹枸杞桂花糕
OMG! Osmanthus is my favourite la! I love it sooooo much! Feel a little disappointed because this jelly was too sweet. =(
Hot Red Bean Paste with Lotus Seeds  莲子红豆沙

Overall, it is worthy to spend RM50 Nett per pax for this All You Can Eat Dim Sum, spend a little but you can enjoy hotel food guarantee quality and service, why not? =)
