CNY Food Review | Tai Zi Heen @ Pullman KLCC

 Wao! Chinese New Year is just 2 days away! This was my last Chinese New Year food review, and also my first try at this Chinese restaurant - Tai Zi Heen at Pullman KLCC. This Chinese restaurant offers unique Cantonese cuisine, specialises in seafood dishes, serves excellent dim sum and features famous signature dishes. Let's check what is in their CNY menu! 

Crispy Whitebait Yee Sang  脆白饭鱼捞生
It's come with 3 sizes (regular | RM50, medium | RM75 and large | RM125). Besides of Whitebait Yee Sang, there are few more flavours for patrons to choose : Salmon Yee Sang, Vegetarian snow pear yee sang, Hamachi yee sang, Abalone yee sang, Four seasons prosperity yee sang with butterfish, salmon, tuna and jellyfish. Patrons can customise add on supplemental orders to their yee sang also, price per portion :

Steamed Dragon-Tiger Grouper with Mushrooms in Soy Sauce, Spring Onions and Fresh Coriander 双菇蒸龙虎斑
Double-boiled Chicken and Vegetable Soup with Fish Maw and Sun Dried Scallops  花胶菜胆炖汤
Again, my favourite soup!!!

Braised Sea Cucumbers with Morels Mushroom, Sun Dried Oysters and Baby Pak Choy  海参羊肚菌蚝士青白仔
My another favourite dish. Braised the sea cucumbers until turn to soft and gelatinous texture, using morels mushroom to replace the traditional chinese mushroom is a bonus to this dish because usually chinese mushroom smell and taste is slightly stronger than morels mushroom, and it might become the main character of this dish. Such a delicacy prosperity CNY dish!

Roasted Five Spice Chicken Sprinkled with Crispy Garlic and Spring Onions  金沙蒜味烧鸡
The flavor really shined with all the aromatic ingredients (spice herbs and crispy garlic), roasted chicken to a juicy perfection, it doesn't disappointed us with its tender meat inside and tangy crispy skin.

Crispy Prawns Coated with Lemon Dressing, Tropical Fruit Salsa and Tobiko Caviar  鲜果鱼子虾球
With zingy lemon dressing, it is a refreshing and light meal among all the CNY dishes. With the awesome plate presentation and fruity taste, we just can't get enough for this!
Stir-Fried Glutinous Rice with Chinese-style Preserved Duck 港式腊鸭香饭
Something different from the traditional waxed meat rice, personally dislike the sweet waxed meat rice, i am more prefer to the salty one which is this Stir-Fried Glutinous Rice with Chinese-style Preserved Duck. Sliced preserved duck is so fragrant and tangy! Usually we felt full when have a bowl of glutinous rice but you will definitely ask for more for this.
Deep-fried Sesame Balls with Salted Egg Yolk Custard and Sweet Potato 流沙芝麻棗拼冰皮甜薯
I have to highlighted this dessert because it was so special and very delicious! Beautiful dessert plate served with snow skin carrot-shaped pastry filling with sweet potato, and deep fried sesame balls with salted egg yolk custard. 
The savoury chewy crust deep fried sesame balls with salted egg yolk custard is the best ever i had! Look at the rich, watery salty-sweet custard!
The prosperity CNY sets are start from RM1788 to RM2788 per table of 10 persons. 
I was pleased with the foods, i had a wonderful night with great peoples and great foods.
