CNY food review | Dynasty Restaurant @ Renaissance Hotel

January 13, 2016

It's a month only away from CNY (Chinese New Year)! This round i am gonna to share another hotel CNY food review with you, The CNY food review at Dynasty Restaurant (Non-Halal). Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team of talented chefs are all set to engulf your senses with Festive Menus that capture the finest flavours of Cantonese cuisine from 18 January to 22 February 2016 in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
There are not many hotel is non-halal and also serving the treasure pot (poon choi), but you can get this from Dynasty where featuring exquisite festive feasts from Treasure Pot or Poon Choi to luxurious Set Menus and Dim Sum selection as well as Claypot Waxed Meat Rice and the prosperity Yee Sang. Dynasty definitely is the place to spoil the family and friends.
First, we had Fruity Fiesta Yee Sang(水晶梨鲜果捞生) to toss to our luck and good fortune.
It is available in “half serving” and “full serving,” take-away Yee Sang can also be arranged for home reunion dinners and special get-togethers. The Yee Sang is priced from RM108nett for a half portion and RM198nett for a full portion.
Ocean treasure soup with crabmeat 蟹肉炖海味汤
Fortune Combination Platter   一品大四喜
Sun-Dried oyster, fatt choy. flower mushrooms and pork meat   开心发财好市
Grilled prawns, spicy sauce and green chilli  辣子大鲜虾
Stir-fried Hong Kong kai lan, wild mushroom   姜米松菇港芥兰
Braised pork knuckle   红烧鲜菇海参猪手
Served with fresh mushroom and sea cucumber. I don't take pork so i didn't try braised pork knuckle but i love sea cucumber so so so much! At home, i can eat white rice with whole bowl sea cucumber! Dynasty's sea cucumber is so tangy and very soft, awww...... yummy!
Another must-have of the season is the Hong Kong style Clay Pot Waxed Meat Rice.  腊味煲仔饭
Priced at RM39nett per portion. This is the best dish we had among this food review, it is so flavourful and fragrant, very CNY feel.
CNY dessert is sweetened fungus, mixed jelly and soya bean (雪耳金麻池豆浆) tag along with fortune pastries. (贺年糕点)
